Cascade Valley Events

Until recently called Elizabeth Park Valley, Cascade Valley fills the Little Cuyahoga River corridor between downtown Akron and the northern communities. It grew up around the Ohio & Erie Canal in the mid-19th century, and that history shapes its calendar today: Cascade Locks Park (locks 10–16 of the canal), the restored Mustill House & Store (a general store that served canal traffic from the 1820s onward), the Cascade Locks Historic District, and the Towpath Trail running north–south through the community. Cascade Valley Metro Park sits just upstream. Expect outdoor events, towpath programs, conservation gatherings, and Akron-history walks.
