Built in the 1910s by F.A. Seiberling's Fairlawn Heights Company as a home community for Goodyear executives, planned by Boston landscape architect Harold S. Wagner alongside a 150-acre country club. Akron annexed the area in 1932 when residents needed city water; the bones of the original plan — winding hillside streets, mature trees, and a thoughtful mix of Tudor, Georgian, French Norman, Chateaux, and later Bauhaus and ranch homes ranging from 3,000 to 10,000 square feet — are still visible everywhere. Bordered by West Market, I-77, Miller Road, and Frank Boulevard. The calendar centers on community-association programs and small West Market events. Not to be confused with the separate city of Fairlawn just to the west — those events live on the Fairlawn & Copley page.
